Who are we?

Cardiff Metropolitan University, the Times Higher Education, UK & Ireland University of the year 2021, is closely aligned with business and technology with many international partners from all over the world. Cardiff Met has over 12,000 students on two campuses.

Description of the project

You will be working in teams to develop innovative mobile apps, software or games to help ensure
healthcare and education for everyone in a changing world. You will hear inspiring talks from
computer science, healthcare and education experts. You will also get to experience the city of
Cardiff, a fun and vibrant student city and the
capital of Wales, UK.

Goal of the project

Students will work together as a team with students from all over the world and present your findings linked to developing and designing mobile tech for a changing world.

How to reach us

Cardiff Metropolitan University is located in the heart of the Welsh capital.

There are flights to Cardiff and Bristol Airport.

Bristol Airport is approximately 1 hour away. The National Express has regular routes for around £20 from Cardiff and Bristol (www.nationalexpress.com)

London Heathrow is less than 2hrsaway by train.

Profile & prerequisites

Prerequisites: Students will need some basic concepts in programming to begin with, but staff will demonstrate the software you needed to help develop a game of the student's own design.
